Where Parents and Children can learn together!

We are located at the corner of 11th & Eugene, (North side of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church).

Little Feet Cooperative Preschool believes each child is unique and should be able to learn at his or her own pace. Our classroom offers many learning opportunities for each child through our daily craft projects, dramatic play area, outdoor time, various field trips and other activities all related to each month’s theme. Monthly themes include Health and Fitness, Transportation, Our family and Our Community, Bugs/Reptiles/Amphibians, Ocean Life, and more. Our vast supply of learning materials is rotated biweekly and thematically.

What is a Cooperative Preschool?

Kids in the Columbia River Gorge    A cooperative preschool is organized and operated by parents who take an active interest in their children’s first educational experience.  Parents assist teachers as “parent teachers” in the classroom once or twice per month, as well as hold offices, raise funds and volunteer on committees.  Parents enrich the program by contributing their time, commitment, talents and skills.  Their participation ensures the smooth operation of a high-quality program.  The responsibilities of running a preschool are distributed evenly among the members, and the benefits are shared by all.

A cooperative preschool is a place where children and parents learn together.  The classroom experience provides parents with a valuable understanding of how their child interacts with other children and moves through their world.  By helping in the classroom, and by participating in the parent education program, parents acquire skills in supporting their children and meeting their social, physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
